Review Pink Warrior Angels on Great Nonprofits

09.29.2018 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Why Race?

*One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
*Because every minute, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer.
*And because, breast cancer knows no boundaries- be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location.
*We continue to Race because at the current rate, 13 million breast cancer deaths around the world will occur in the next 25 years.

About Pink Warrior Angels

Pink Warrior Angels is a non-profit organization founded by two breast cancer survivors diagnosed under the age of 40 who met by chance and felt extremely alone through-out their journeys. Both survivors believed there had to be a better way to find support and encouragement for newly diagnosed breast cancer survivors. Pink Warrior Angels was founded on the idea that no survivor should ever have to feel alone. Our goal is to provide comfort, support, and inspiration to all of our Warriors. We pair up an “angel” who has completed treatment and surgeries with a “warrior” who is currently in the fight. Our angels commit to supporting their warrior through the duration of their treatment. In addition, providing financial support for those in need is also a priority of ours. Our proceeds are given directly to breast cancer survivors.

Where does the money go?

Your support makes a difference. We have financially assisted close to 100 families since becoming an established 501c3 in July of 2015. Funds raised this year will allow us to continue our mission in financially assisting those going through breast cancer treatment. Most financial resources for those diagnosed with cancer have very strict income guidelines. Pink Warrior Angels takes these on a case by case basis as we know everyone’s needs may vary. Our financial assistance comes in very unique forms ranging from grocery services, house cleaning, meal services, and even providing funeral transportation. With your contributions, we will have the ability to continue providing this necessary form of financial support to those going through treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis.
